In the Accommodation tab of each shortlisted destinations, you can assess and choose a hotel to obtain a better cost estimation. 

How to find and select a hotel?

Find your Accommodation

Use the search bar to look for a specific hotel. If you are still looking for your ideal accommodation, you have six filters:

• Preferred hotels: show only the list of hotels with which your company has negotiated rates. If your company administrator hasn’t uploaded your preferred hotels, nothing will be returned.
• Green hotels: green hotels are defined as such by the source. Please note: this filter is not available for U.S. destinations at this time. 
• Rooms: total number of rooms in the hotel. Note, that this is not the number of rooms available for booking.
• Distance: distance from the option selected in the travel policy: office, city center, or airport.
• Price: minimum or/and maximum cost per attendee for the meeting.
• Star rating: minimum or/and the maximum star rating of the hotel.

Hotel location

When you select to see “Accommodations” available, the map will automatically zoom in on the destination. 

TROOP also shows the different types of areas in the city through a heat map. You'll see four icons to the bottom right of your screen—one for every type of area: Sightseeing, Restaurants, Shopping, and Nightlife.

Click on the icon to see areas that fit each of these descriptions. The heat map will change accordingly.

Select a hotel

If you see a hotel that you like, you can click on “Select hotel” located in the center of the hotel card.

This action updates the Shortlist Comparison page with the total cost of the selected accommodation, improving the accuracy of your cost estimation for hotels for each destination.
