When you shortlist destinations, TROOP gets to work—running a smart analysis that pulls in flight options and costs, CO₂ emissions, accommodation prices, and more to help you find the best meeting location.
Shortlist destinations from the Destinations tab
Follow these steps to shortlist destinations suggested by TROOP:
1. Click into the Destinations tab on the left-hand-side of the meeting.
2. Click 'Shortlist' on suggested destinations you would like TROOP to analyze.
You can also shortlist destinations by searching for cities with airports:
1. Click into the "Search for a destination" field. Type in the name of a city you would like to shortlist.
2. Click "Shortlist" to begin the analysis.
3. If you would like to search and shortlist more destinations, click the 'x' in the search field to clear it and add another city.
💡 You can shortlist up to 15 destinations per meeting.
If you accidentally shortlist the wrong destination, no worries—you can easily remove it from your meeting.
1. You can click the three dots on the destination card and then select 'Remove from shortlist.'
2. You can also click the destination icon on the right-hand-side bar and select 'Remove from shortlist.'
3. Click the red 'Remove' button to confirm.
🚨 Removing a destination from your shortlist will delete its data from the comparison page. However, you can always add it back if needed.
Filters & Sorting
You can easily organize destination suggestions by applying filters or sorting them to match your meeting priorities:
- Direct Flights/Number of Stops
- Flight Duration
- Carbon Emissions
- Weather
You can also sort destinations by from the recommended dropdown:
- Travel time
- Number of stops
- Carbon Emissions
To refine your destination choices, you can use the Direct Flights, Offices, or Shortlist buttons to customize the list according to your preferences.
Click into the Search for a destination bar to filter destination suggestions by region.
Refresh Data
Spot the red "Refresh data" icon? That’s TROOP’s way of saying, “Hey, things might’ve changed!” Give it a click, and we’ll re-analyze the destination to serve up the freshest, most accurate info.
Want to refresh data for all your shortlisted destinations in one go? Just use the "Shortlisted" filter at the top left, then click "Refresh all destinations" to get the latest insights across the board.
If you update the travel policy, attendees, meeting dates, or start/end times before confirming a destination, you might see a pop-up like the one below. Just click "Refresh data" to make sure all your shortlisted destinations are refreshed with the latest info.
