Add Meeting Destinations
Not every meeting starts with a blank map. Whether you already have a location in mind or need to compare a few options, TROOP supports the way planners actually work.
Known Destination
Follow these steps to add a decided destination to your meeting:
1. Click the "Search and add your meeting destination" field. Then, type the name of the city, airport, or office you're looking for, and click to select the correct option.
2. Click "Confirm" to lock in your meeting destination.
Compare Multiple Destinations
Follow these steps to compare multiple cities:
1. Click the "Search and add your meeting destination" field. Then, type the name of the city, airport, or office you're looking for, and click to select the correct option.
2. To add and compare more destinations, click "Add other options" from the pop up window.
3. This will open the Destination options side panel. Click the "Search options" field to find and shortlist any destinations you want to compare, or you can scroll through the recommended list and shortlist from there. Then click "See comparison" to get to the Destinations compare page.
4. You can also compare multiple destinations from the Overview screen by first clicking the green Compare button.
5. This will immediately navigate you to the Destinations compare page and you can click the "Search and add your meeting destination" field to begin adding destinations for comparison. Follow the same search and select process for each destination.
Get TROOP Recommendations
Follow these steps to let TROOP recommend the perfect location:
1. From the Meeting Overview page, click the "Compare" option.
2. This will immediately navigate you to the Destinations compare page, and you can click "View options" to open the Destination options side panel.
3. On the Destination options side panel. You can scroll through the recommended list and click "Shortlist" on any destinations you want to compare. Then click "See comparison" to get back to the Destinations compare page.
4. Filter the recommendations using the "Direct" flights filter or "Offices" options. Refine your recommendations by using the sorting button on the left or the filter button on the right.
💡 You can shortlist up to 15 destinations per meeting.
If you accidentally shortlist the wrong destination, no worries—you can easily remove it from your meeting.
1. You can click the three dots on the destination card and then select 'Remove from shortlist.'
2. You can also click the destination icon on the right-hand-side bar and select 'Remove from shortlist.'
3. Click the red 'Remove' button to confirm.
🚨 Removing a destination from your shortlist will delete its data from the comparison page. However, you can always add it back if needed.
Filters & Sorting
You can easily organize destination suggestions by applying filters or sorting them to match your meeting priorities:
- Direct Flights/Number of Stops
- Flight Duration
- Carbon Emissions
- Weather
You can also use the recommended dropdown to sort destinations by:
- Travel time
- Number of stops
- Carbon Emissions
- Offices
To refine your destination choices, you can use the Direct Flights or Offices buttons to customize the list according to your preferences.
Click into the Search for a destination bar to filter destination suggestions by region.
Refresh Data
Spot the red "Refresh data" icon? That’s TROOP’s way of saying, “Hey, things might’ve changed!” Give it a click, and we’ll re-analyze the destination to serve up the freshest, most accurate info.
Want to refresh data for all your shortlisted destinations in one go? Just use the "Refresh all" button on the Destinations compare page to get the latest insights across the board.
If you update the travel policy, attendees, meeting dates, or start/end times before confirming a destination, you might see a pop-up like the one below. Just click "Refresh data" to make sure all your shortlisted destinations are refreshed with the latest info.
